We take a look at some of the finest facial hair you can find on our screens. Everything from the tashes of our favourite actors to full bearded superheroes. Keep an eye out for part 2, suggest who you might like to see by writing in the comment box at the bottom of the article.
Walter White
Breaking Bad’s lead dude has a lot more going on for him than just his face hair, but the face hair does help.

Captain Hook as seen in Once Upon a Time
Disney and fairy tale characters but not as you know them… especially this dude, whose costume designer thankfully chose an earring over a perm. (Take note, every pantomime ever.)

John Luther
Just make Idris Elba the next James Bond for God’s sake.

Mick Carter
Danny Dyer might not have spectacular lines to work from, but with that beard all he really needs to do is grumble and threaten Matt di Angelo.

John Watson, the Start of Series 3
‘Oh no,’ I thought when the trailer for the third series of Sherlock aired. John Watson’s moustache was one of the Arthur Conan Doyle’s characteristics that I was happy to leave in the books. It was gone within an episode, thank God, but not before it spawned an entire scene and a t-shirt. Nice one, BBC.

Homer Simpson
I am 80% sure that’s stubble and not doughnut crumbs.

Jon Snow
The Game of Thrones character, not the Channel 4 presenter.

Capt. Jackson
Ripper Street needed a man with a moustache and a man who can wear a necktie. Enter, sir.

Khal Drogo
You wish you could put your beard in that style and carry it off with that expression.

Graham Norton
Okay so he’s real, but so’s his beard and that’s what counts.

Who have we missed out? Let us know for round two!
Graham Norton’s beard: he suits it and I’m chuffed he’s kept it for so long. I read somewhere recently he expects to keep it for a while yet.
