    Carl Fredriksson

We caught up with one of our favourite Instagram brother’s Carl Frerikkson, he is one of the top 10 bearded men in Sweden, check out his interview below.

Can you try to give our readers a bit of a background on yourself, a quick spill about things you are into?

My name is Carl Fredriksson and I’m born and raised in north of Sweden in a town called Östersund where I still live after 31 years. I’m a bit of a bike geek and can’t live without music.

    Any other interests?

Photography, fly-fishing and build/restore bikes is what I love to do, mostly fixies. I’m an outdoors kind of a guy that’s raised in the wood.

How long have you had your dreads?

My dreads I have had for about 4 years now. It started with just being a fun thing but have become a big part of who I am.

How did you hear about the #beardseason project?

I actually first heard about project60 when Brock Elbank found me on Instagram and asked me if I was able to come to England to be photographed for Project60. As I have friends and family that have been defeated and won over cancer I had to do it. Today in super honoured to be in this fantastic movement that helps save lives.

Can you try to take us through your daily routine when it comes to beard care? Do you use products like oils and waxes? Do you have any specific brands that you prefer?

My daily routine is not that fancy actually, I always use a good oil and I have used MrBearFamilys products from the start and now I’m lucky to be a part of their great family.

Do you trim and maintain your facial hair on your own, or do you only let your barber handle it? Who is your ‘go to’ guy for trimming and maintenance?

When it comes to maintenance I have been keeping it in shape by myself for the last 9 years but not fully by choice. Where I live there isn’t a barber in sight so I had to learn the hard way.

Do you feel as though your beard has opened you up to new opportunities? We see you were voted top 10 beards in Sweden which is impressive!

I think since the whole beard trend started to kick of I have noticed that I have got a lot more attention for some reason, as I have not had a clean shave for 9 years the beard isn’t new for me but I think people see it differently now. Agreed, it got me into the top 10 best beard in Sweden at Swedish Beard Championship in Malmö 2014 which for me is a damn bad ass thing! Not to forget Project60! That is one of the coolest things ever to be asked to be a part of that and to be photographed by Mr Elbank! Well you all seen his work.

What’s next for you? Any big plans in the works?

My plans for the future is whatever comes at me. I recently finished my studies and have some modelling jobs ahead. I am excited to see what 2015 brings to the table.

If there was one bearded product you could not live without, what would it be and why?

One product that I would always have to pick is Beard oil, otherwise my curly beard would be absolutely chaotic.

Lastly, who is your #1 bearded man in the world?

#1 bearded man, hands down my old man. With 1 clean shave in over 40 years since his military duty at an age of 25 he is going strong and I can’t give the first place to any other.
