    Going out for a solo hike, while highly liberating and refreshing, carries a certain risk level that must never be ignored. Being alone means you are more vulnerable to predators, if you get lost, or become injured in some other way.     Take a Phone

    Even if you want to disconnect from technology and dive into the great world of nature, it is important to have something that you can use to contact the outside world. This is just an emergency precaution and an all-round smart move to make. If you really don’t want to bring a phone along, invest in a hand-held radio with a long-distance range instead so you are not completely cut off in case you need help or assistance. 

    Carry Practical Protection
