    Lasse Matberg Runs For Charity

    Lasse Matberg’s Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/lasselom) has received over 300k new followers this week thanks mainly to this article on TheDailyMail, and now the bearded Norwegian naval officer is using his newfound celebrity status to raise money for a good cause.

    Sunday he was one of 130,732 participants from 203 countries all over the world who ran for those who can’t in the nonprofit charity race Wings for Life World Run – a foundation that finances research on spinal chord injuries, with a goal of finding a cure that get people back up on their feet – http://www.wingsforlifeworldrun.com/us/en. Matberg ran in Stavanger, Norway, where he currently works as a naval officer.

    “I’m running to support a great cause and it’s great to be here. I’m not built for running, but it was great to be a part of this race” – the 30 year old internet hype said after the race.
