This year the event took place in Leogang, Austria. More than 300 competitors come together to compete in 18 categories – everything from moustaches to beards, freestyle to length. This was a chance for beards to take centre stage and get the coverage they deserve. We also heard that there were hundreds of pogonohiles present, we were jealous we couldn’t be attend.
Some of the highlights from this years show included Madison Rowley winning (by perfect score) the full natural beard category, there were also perfect scores for Jackie Lynn Ellisson in the imperial moustache category and Dan Lawlor in the freestyle tash. We think that all bearded men are winners!
The Beard and Moustache clubs that gathered in Leogang, Austria, over the weekend also voted on the location of the 2019 competition — which will be held in Antwerp, Belgium. See you there!
